This site is devoted to bringing you up-to-the-minute newsworthy info on lower budget alternatives to what is on trend and in fashion. I’ll analyze what is being shown on the runways, in stores and on celebrities, and break everything down to more affordable terms (something we can all use right about now).
A little about moi:
I’m 24, live in Southern Cali, work full-time as a paralegal, go to law school part time (2 years left), am planning on doing something in fashion, sports and entertainment law and have been a fashion devotee since the wee age of 11 when I received my first sewing machine. I’ve always been a bit of a cheapie and am a notorious “cart-abandoner” – but it doesn’t stop me from coveting. I can’t pass up an awesome sale, though, and I have no qualms about shopping at Target and Forever 21 to get something that looks kinda similar to an Alexander Wang.
I spend hours and hours online (daily, while I’m at work) reading and learning about everything that is in fashion and on trend…then I battle the online stores looking for lower cost alternatives (and gnarly sales) to the must-haves of the season.
My style is pretty eclectic – though I tend to gravitate toward complete edge. Every once in awhile, though, I girly it up and rock the frill and florals. My edginess comes from my background. I grew up in the motocross and supercross industry and have an internal love for all things extreme sports. My hubby works for a pro-supercross team (the best one out there), all our friends are in the industry and it is a true lifestyle. It’s amazing. I’m a pretty awesome girl – you’ll see. I’d want to be friends with me.
