John Hardy Jewelry

John Hardy jewelry is eco-friendly. In today’s times there are tons of eco-friendly jewelry lines….but most of them make me want to barf in my mouth a little bit because they are so damn ugly to look at. Apparently, for most companies, “ugly” is totally fine when it’s “eco-friendly.” Honestly, that’s probably one of the main reasons why sustainable, green products aren’t as big in the fashion industry as some people would like them to be-which is a problem. Seriously, when I think of “eco-friendly” jewelry, I think of hemp….which is, like, so 7th grade.
John Hardy calls it “sustainable luxury,” and focuses on not only the the pristine craftsmanship (all his pieces are handmade in Bali), but also on how he believes you can feel the artisan in each piece. That makes sense. When items are handmade, as his items are, each piece is different and you truly can sense the personality of the craftsman in each item. The thing I LOVE about this jewelry is the killer mixed-metal toughness each piece has.
Ladies, if you’re looking for a unique Christmas gift for you guy, I’d suggest taking a look at the John Hardy website. They’ve got some pretty rad pieces for guys – including cuff links, rings, necklaces and bracelets – and everything has a bit of an edge to it.
