“Roundup”
I used to be part of all these “blogger networks” where we’d all submit a post to be included in a weekly blog-wide post. At first, I was super pumped to be included because I got tons of traffic from them…but then, the “rules” of some of them just turned me off. Blogging is supposed to be an expression of yourself and your style, and some of these blogger-network owners would be sending out 4 or 5 emails a week reminding us of what we “should be” doing and what we “should be” posting about and “SUBMIT YOUR POST BY MIDNIGHT…I’M NOT REMINDING YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!! YOUR POST HAS TO BE ON THIS TOPIC!!!!!!”. Seriously?! Fuck that. I have a full-time job biotch, and if I don’t feel like including myself in this week’s links then I’m damn well not going to do so. Kick me out if you want…and by the way, screw you. I didn’t start Unfunded to conform to the rules of a fashion blogger network. (SIDE NOTE: I’m not talking about Independent Fashion Bloggers – that is an amazing network that allows significant freedom and I’m pissed at myself for not submitting links lately…I’ll be getting back to it soon.)
Anyway – I’ll be creating my own “roundup” of blogger links and pictures, bitches, and all you have to do to be included is be, like, totally awesome. For instance:
