Edgy Clothing Fix – Ssense.com
I am forever looking for new online stores to shop at and get inspired from. There are so many run-of-the-mill places with no artistic factor or thought into the items they sell that, sometimes, it makes me want to throw a brick through my computer screen.
I just recently learned about Ssense.com, and I have to say that I’m pretty impressed. It’s definitely not a site for saving money, but it’s got an addictive edgy and stark-contrast design to it. The buyer for this site is a woman/man of my own heart, because each item and designer chosen is the epitome of edgy perfection. If anything, Ssense.com is a great place for inspiration and eye candy. The Bess studded motorcycle boots everyone is craving? Yeah, they got ‘em – in 2 styles, no less (not to mention the Bess studded ankle-moccasins..it’s like stud porn). I’m definitely going to peruse the site for XMAS gifts for the hubbs. Killer designers like Erin Wasson X RVCA, ACNE, Shades of Greige, LaRok, True Religion, Bikkembergs and Sam Edelman all have a place there, too. It’s like a one-stop-shop for all things edgy.
BTW, they have a sale section and it’s totally worth stalking.

Der Festival

It’s festival season! (Festival is another term for “outdoor music fest” – like the Vans Warped Tour…..summer = music fests galore). Festivals usually call for a certain type of wardrobe – comfy shirts, cutoff shorts or leggings, big sunglasses, some type of hat, boots and a big ‘ol bag. Obviously there are different variations to this festival ensemble, all are pretty equal in the indie cool factor. Now is your cue to pack up and rock out.
